Mar 01, 2017  Hollow Knight an indie platformer is hard to navigate. The game about exploring, but this can get frustrating. The map for Crystal Peak is a bit of a ways into the level. So make sure you grab the bottom bench before heading up. Right before you enter the Watcher Knight’s room, there is a breakable wall directly above the.

Introduction

For a game as massive as Hollow Knight, maps are essential. With all the backtracking you'll be doing, it's very easy to forget where the A item requiring B upgrade was located. While there's an ingame item that will show you the locations of all the Grubs you haven't rescued yet, it's much later in the game, and other collectibles have no item to help you find them. So I'm replaying the game a second time and keeping track of where EVERYTHING is located.
In this guide you will find:
  • Every ingame map
  • Benches
  • Blue HP Cocoons
  • Vendors
  • Whispering Roots
  • Warriors' Graves
  • Hot Springs
  • Stag Stations
  • Tram Stations
  • Captive Grubs
  • Dreamers
  • Cornifer the Cartographer locations
  • Charm locations
  • Spells/Spell Upgrade locations
  • Hidden Hunter Journal Entires
  • Sellable Relics
  • Rancid Eggs
  • Key locations
  • Mask Shards
  • Soul Vessel Shards
  • Pale Ores
  • Nailmaster Arts
  • Ability/Ability Upgrades

How to Get to the Ancient Basin in Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is a mystical Metroidvania filled with perilous paths and rigorous roads that lead straight to danger. Lack of caution will lead you straight to death’s door, so it’s always best to come prepared in any given area. One particular location, the Ancient Basin, houses the strangest scavengers and lifeforms you’ll come across in Hollow Knight. This is the deepest location in the Hollownest and is home to The Pale King, along with his guards and consorts. If you’re having trouble finding it, here’s how to get to the Ancient Basin in Hollow Knight.

Hollow Knight Crystal Peak Boss

Once you know how to get there, it’s actually fairly simple. All you need to do is head to King’s Station and jump straight down into the Royal Waterways. Once you’re there, simply keep heading down and you’ll eventually find yourself in the Ancient Basin. Now, do note that a host of deadly bugs make their home in the area; however, the Ancient Basin is actually quite straightforward compared to the other locations in Hollow Knight, so you’ll pretty much be spending your time traveling left and right.

Before you proceed any further in this location in Hollow Knight, make sure to buy the map first. You can find your friendly map maker in the large room below the tram. Just stay on the right side of the map and you should hear his familiar humming sooner or later. Make a mental note to get some money ready because you’ll have to fork up 110 Geo for the map. Grabbing yourself a map will give you a better layout of the Ancient Basin, assuring you don’t get yourself lost.

The Ancient Basin is only one of the many explorable areas in the game. If you’re looking for more information on Hollow Knight, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
