15 GTA 5 Mods You Need To Check Out

1. Project London

One of GTA V’s most ambitious mods, Project London aims to re-create a city that resembles London in GTA. Complete with landmarks such as Heathrow Airport, Wembley Stadium, St. Thomas Hospital, and more, this work-in-progress mod is set to be the open world London GTA game fans have wanted since the series went 3D.

2. Grand Theft Space

Another hugely ambitious work-in-progress mod, Grand Theft Space takes players into the great abyss in the sky. The mod is fairly early as of yet, but it currently features a fully functional space shuttle, 11 planets, three moons, and a very small amount of alien life. This highly promising mod has the potential to be a great sci-fi sandbox and is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

3. Dragon Ball Script Mod

This is a fun and silly mod that lets you tear through Los Santos as Dragon Ball’s own, Goku. Reign chaos from the ground or the sky as you unleash Destructo Discs, Ki Blasts, Kamehameha, and more.

4. Natural Vision Remastered

This incredible visual overhaul mod brings Los Santos to life like no other mod. Natural Vision Remastered is the tireless product of Razed, the mod’s creator, who put an incredible 1200 hours, including dozens of hours of research into Los Angeles, into this mod. It’s as impressive as it is beautiful and is a must for anyone looking to make GTA V look as good as it can possibly look.

5. Gang and Turf

The long-supported (and still updated) Gang and Turf mod aims to re-create the gang war mini-game from GTA San Andreas. Players are tasked with leading their gangs, including registering members, assigning colours, and making sure your patches are defended. It’s a fun and chaotic mod that puts a new spin on the game.

6. Ironman Script Mod 2.0

Experienced super hero modder JulioNIB has iterated on the original GTA V Ironman mod, and the product is the most explosive, fast-paced, exciting, and super fun Ironman mod out there. Loaded with new sound effects, new animations, new effects, and more.

7. Jet Pack

Pretty straightforward. This mod simply gives you a slick jet pack with which you can cruise through the skies of Los Santos and avoid all that pesky traffic. A simple but fun mod.

8. Dragons V

Dragons V is the best of the various mods that let you fly dragons around Los Santos. Another one of JulioNIB’s pieces, Dragons V does exactly what you’d expect: it lets you fly dragons around the world of GTA V, throwing fire balls, picking up pedestrians, and generally creating chaos. This mod requires the dragon models from Quechus13, which can be found here and here.

9. LSPDFR

An evolved version of the once-popular Police Script Mod, LSPDFR is a more involved endeavour that is similar to GTA IV’s mod. Listen to police scanners, report to chases and gunfights, and generally lend a helping hand to the law enforcement of Los Santos. Help make Los Santos a safer place with this mod!

10. Incredible Hulk Script

Like the Ironman mod, the Incredible Hulk Script lets you tear through the streets of Los Santos as the big green brute himself. What else needs to be said?

11. SUPERHOT Mod

SUPERHOT is an incredibly slick, stylish and awesome game where time only moves when you do. This mod aims to implement this concept into the world of GTA V.

12. Poke Ball

One of the more unusual mods to grace GTA V, Poke Ball does exactly what you might expect. The mod gives you Poke Balls with which you can capture NPCs to fight alongside you. The rules of Pokemon still apply, though, so don’t forget to weaken your foes before throwing your Poke Ball!

13. Luxury Pad

The Marlow Valley enhanced luxury safehouse mod gives you a far more impressive crib than what end-game GTA V gives you. It comes with room to park 30 cars and bikes, multiple helipads, a sprawling mansion, armed guards, and even paparazzi to make you feel like a true celebrity kingpin.

14. Knight Rider

Kata pengantar laporan pkl smk. Ever felt like driving the legendary Knight Rider vehicle from the 80s series of the same name? Well, here’s your chance. The Knight Rider mod adds a fully functional turbo-equipped version of KITT that can drive on two wheels and lets you hear him talk.

15. Open All Interiors

There are many interiors of buildings that you’ll visit during the story of GTA V, but if you return to these locations afterward you’ll find them inaccessible. The Open All Interiors mod makes over 30 of these locations accessible at all times. Explore these buildings to your heart’s content, have some epic shootouts with police, do whatever! They’re now yours to explore.

How do I install mods in GTA 5?

First of all, Rockstar has clearly stated that you will never be banned for using mods in single-player, but using mods online is a different story. Modding GTA Online is sure to get your account banned. Don’t risk modding Online, it won’t end well.

Now, on to the basics of modding GTA V. Unfortunately, modding GTA V isn’t as simple as modding games like Skyrim, and there are a few things you’ll need before you can get going.

Script Hook V

The first thing you’ll need is the latest version of Script Hook, which can be found here.

Once downloaded, take files from the zip file and place them into your GTA V directory. On Steam that can be found in “SteamsteamappscommonGrand Theft Auto V”.

Community Script Hook V .NET

Certain script mods will require you to have both Script Hook and Community Script Hook V .NET, which allows scripts written in .NET language.

This can be found here. Simply copy the .ini file into the game’s directory.

LUA Plugin

Some mods require the LUA plugin on top of Script Hook. This can be found here.

Gta 4 Mods Pc

Grab the zip file and put both the folder called “scripts” and the file called LUA_SDK.asi into the game directory.

Map Editor

The Map Editor is needed for mods that add new areas, like islands or buildings. You can also freely add and remove your own objects. The Map Editor can be found here.

Open IV

OpenIV was very popular for GTA IV and is now being developed for GTA V. There are a number of varied applications for OpenIV so we won’t list them all here. Read through the instructions of each mod before using it. OpenIV actually makes changes to game’s files so we suggest you backup the game files before you start.

That’s everything you’ll need to ensure you can get all the different kinds of mods there are for GTA V. Onto the mods!

  • 2018 in review and 2019 in the view

I'm late. I know, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's already the middle of February and I haven't done my usual yearly keyboard bashing session where I smash out a semi-coherent review of the previous year and talk about what we hope to get done in this year. Truth be told, I wasn't sure if anyone really wanted to read through my banal twitterings or not and whether I would do this, so let me know at the end if my time (and yours) was worth it.

    In short, Nex..
